Subject: Grower Committee Meeting

The next Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. (DPI) Grower Committee will be held as noted above, sponsored by Dr. James McNaughton, president of AHPharma, Inc. In addition to the Grower Committee, we are inviting the chicken company live production managers, grow-out managers, housing managers, and companies involved in chicken house construction and equipment.

The topic for the evening is the new type of chicken house lighting system that AHPharma, Inc. is developing. This system calls for the use of LED bulbs on the feeder lines. AHPharma’s promotional brochure describes “AviLighting™ as a dual colored LED feeder light that research has shown will lower energy costs while improving bird performance. It is an interesting concept and one that might help our Delmarva chicken industry.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner followed by the presentation and discussion.

Please let us know by noon on Friday, November 21 if you will be attending so we can make dinner reservations. RSVP by e-mail (morrow@dpichicken.com) or call 800-878-2449 or from Sussex County 856-9037. If you change your plans after responding, let us know as soon as possible.

Hope you can join us near Salisbury in a few weeks.

Around 300 poultry enthusiasts gathered to learn more about growing technologies in the Agriculture industry; this event was a great success.
